The women’s club has been practicing all summer long, twice a week, and everyone is itching to play in the BIG game. The practices have been fairly well attended given everyone’s vacation and Summer schedules. It has been so much fun with so many new people joining us this Summer. It has also been a great opportunity for members to meet other members who may not regularly attend our socials.

This promises to be a fun time for all. You are all invited to attend and cheer on your favorite participant. All family members and friends are welcome as refreshments will be available for sale. If you have any drink/refreshment donations, or any questions at all, please call Susan Meyerson at 376-0547.

MALIBU DUDE RANCH
Columbus Day weekend, October 10 - 13

Join us , for three fun-filled days with friends and family at Malibu Dude Ranch! This is the oldest working ranch in the Eastern USA and is located on 800 mountaintop acres in the scenic Delaware highlands of Milford, PA, only 75 miles from NYC. We have been enjoying this rustic adventure in this family-friendly environment for years. BVWC Holiday Auction

The BVWC’s much anticipated and hugely popular
Holiday Auction has been set for Friday, November 21st,
at The Venetian Yacht Club right here in Babylon Village.
As usual, this is sure to be a fun and exciting night for everyone.

As you know, our members make the Holiday Auction special with their donations and creativity. Remember that we would
prefer big ticket items so please gather a group of women together and start thinking about creating an auction item that will be long remembered as something special. All BVWC members are required to make a donation of an auction item valued at $20.00 or more (or you may make a $20 or more monetary donation to the evening’s festivities) as part of membership in the Women’s Club whether or not you come that evening.

CHICKS & FLICKS NIGHT

Wednesday, September 17th 6:30 p.m.

Chicks & Flicks will meet on Wednesday, September 17th to see The Accidental Husband. We’ll be starting our evening at the Armadillo Grill at 6:30 p.m. for a margarita or two. Hope to see you all there!

       THE SUNSHINE GROUP                          

Well, the Sunshine Group is up and running with quite a number of volunteers.  The Sunshine Group encompasses what we believe the BVWC is all about -- being there for each other, and Toni Marie is thrilled about running this group for us.  She is gathering together a list of people that would like to make food -- casseroles, brownies, whatever your specialty is -- to bring to a fellow member's home who is in need of our help.  In the past we have ordered food out, but we think this would be more personal.  Let’s hope everyone stays happy and healthy and the services of the Sunshine Group are not needed, but we’re glad to have them if necessary.  If you would like to join the Sunshine Group list of volunteers, please e-mail Susan Meyerson, disapuppy@aol.com and include your name, phone number, and the dish you would like to make. Your participation is voluntary and can be ended at any time. If you are aware of a person that could use our help, please contact Susan Meyerson right away at 376-0547.

are reserved for serious situations and tragic events.

SECRET NEIGHBOR GAME 2008 ROUND 2

We are getting ready to play the Secret Neighbor Game, Round 2 of 2008, which will begin in August. During the months of August, September and October, you will give your Secret Neighbor a $10.00 present for each month. In November, we will have a Secret Neighbor Reveal Party where you will give your Secret Neighbor a $20.00 final gift.
